Red Light Lit Austin’s monthly performance series Live at Native Hostel is currently open for submissions for our December 12th show, 12:12. For this show, we are exploring the magical, the mystical, the intimate, and the late-night vibes of jazz. We are delving into the light that can only be seen in the dark. And we are coming together as a community to strengthen our individual magic. 100% of suggested donations taken at the door will be donated to local non-profits benefitting the homeless population. To be considered as a performer, please submit no later than November 28th at 11:59PM CST. Anything submitted after this date will be considered for our January show.
We want your raw, thoughtful, and tender poetry, prose, music, and art that explores love, relationships, gender, and sexuality. We are uninterested in writing and art that is predictable, derivative, misogynistic, transphobic, homophobic, racist, violent, or otherwise hateful. If you do not hear back within three weeks, it means your piece was not the right fit for us at this time. One submission per month only, please (extra submissions will not be read).
